Life, as I see it, is the biggest and more exciting University available for everybody.
After walking with Mathias, my fiancé, two donkeys and a dog during more than two years through fourteen countries. Meeting so various cultures and people. Finally, we reached Nepal and approached the big mountains. Fulfilling our dream to walk from Switzerland to Himalaya.
I found a peaceful atmosphere and supporting friends making me able to explore my creativity again.  Now, I walk in Katmandu’s streets searching for inspiration. In Nepal,

Inspirations:

Mother Nature has always astonished me it is a never ending source of inspiration for artists. This nature, so strong but also sometimes captured in the macadam streets. Still giving, but asking for nothing just to let it be.

Also, I was very impressed that as a solid representation of spirituality, temples in Katmandu are at every corner of the streets. It reminds me of our original commune nature. Nature, we are made of. Same roots, same elements.

The fact that I will become a mother had also a big impact on my creations even if it is not always at a conscious level.

Paintings:

In my paintings, I like to play with simple forms and colors like I did as a child, to create dreaming atmospheres.  I like to somehow celebrate with my own perceptions and feelings, the relation between men nature and spirituality as a same whole. In my life and in my creations, I try to rebuild this sacred link we tend to loose.

The serie Temple man is about the human body seen as a temple. I was inspirited by the shapes of the amazing temples from the Katmandu valley to create this personnage. It talks about the human condition in the cosmos. Surrounding by strong elements, forces and feelings that he can’t control.  First struggling with nature and his own potential, a little paralyzed because he feels a stranger to nature and God. But nature shows him the way. And then, step by step he realizes his true nature, his links with the cosmos, and begins to play and take responsibility in his spiritual development. Finally, he takes control of his potential, energies and feelings as a Buddha.
Temple man is also in the “couple paintings”. It is a dance, an invitation to equilibrate our inner and outer couple. So they can express the total potential they have within.

Roots serie is to show us that we are like a tree. We need strong roots in the ground (past, traditions) a trunk (the present moment, body incarnation), branches and leaves( the future, a vision) towards the sky. All in one!
Roots shows also my separation with my own roots, and I feel that now it is time for me to go back to it. The pregnancy too, makes me go deep into it.
